LAKEISHA MAYS is an associate in the firm’s Supreme Court and Appellate litigation group.
Lakeisha earned her undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and her J.D. from Howard University School of Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Lakeisha clerked for the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and for the Honorable Phyllis D. Thompson of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
While attending Howard University School of Law, Lakeisha was a member the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team and was a semifinalist in the 2018 Global Antitrust Institute Moot Court Competition. Lakeisha was a recipient of the Olender Foundation’s Earl H. Davis Advocacy Award, the WBA & WBAEF Charles Hamilton Houston First Place Essay Scholarship, and the National Bar Institute Law Student Fellowship. Lakeisha also completed internships with the Honorable Robert Rigsby of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the U.S. Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division, Appellate Section.
