
Biography
ROBERT MCMAHON is a commercial litigator who supports all stages of litigation with particular experience involving consumer class actions and complex breach of contract disputes. Robert’s experience includes conducting fact investigation, managing discovery, drafting dispositive motions, and trial. Robert has also been involved in successfully negotiating numerous settlements at various stages of litigation.
Prior to joining Sidley, Robert participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program, working for the Public Counsel Law Center where he assisted with litigation relating to debtor’s rights and economic justice.
While in law school, Robert participated in Loyola Law School’s Ninth Circuit Appellate Clinic, where he argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and won a partial remand on behalf of an immigrant mother and child. Robert was also chief production editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, served as a law clerk in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, and externed for the Honorable John A. Kronstadt.
