Biography
PARTHIV RISHI is a partner in the Private Equity and M&A practice. He has 20 years of experience advising clients, in particular private equity, venture capital firms, other financial sponsors, and their portfolio companies on complex and cross-border transactions.
Parthiv regularly advises on acquisitions, investments, sales, restructurings, joint ventures and shareholder arrangements with a strong focus on Southeast Asia and India. His practice spans the entire investment cycle – from early-stage and growth capital investments, to pre-IPO rounds, as well as minority, hybrid and control transactions, and buy-outs.
Parthiv is currently based in Singapore and has previously practiced in London, New York and Hong Kong.

Private Equity and M&A in Asia
- Apollo-managed hybrid strategy funds in their strategic minority equity investment in Charles Monat Associates, a leading global life insurance brokerage firm.
- Access Healthcare, an India and U.S. headquartered leading technology-enabled revenue cycle management platform, in its strategic investment from affiliates of New Mountain Capital, LLC. This was the largest M&A deal in India in the first half of 2025, according to Bloomberg.
- KKR on a number of transactions including:
- KKR and Barghest Building Performance (bbp), a leading energy-savings-as-a-service provider for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in Asia, on the sale of bbp to Actis, a leading growth markets investor in sustainable infrastructure.
- its primary and secondary investment into PHINMA Education, one of the largest private higher education groups in Southeast Asia with colleges and universities in the Philippines and Indonesia.
- its initial primary and secondary and follow-on investments into Equest, a Vietnam-based K-12 education platform.
