KYLE TANZER provides strategic counsel and tailored representation to clients facing high-stakes, complex disputes. Within his sports practice, Kyle has represented and advised professional sports leagues, teams, and municipalities on matters involving non-relocation agreements, antitrust claims, and privacy issues. He has played a key role in some of the most significant public-private sports infrastructure projects in the country.

Sports Experience

• Achieved dismissal of antitrust claims against the PGA TOUR and its Commissioner.
• Secured a voluntary dismissal of fraud claims against the PGA TOUR and its Commissioner.
• Obtained multiple dismissals for the PGA TOUR in Video Privacy Protection Act class actions.
• Advised the State of New York/Empire State Development on the non-relocation agreement for the Buffalo Bills in connection with a high-profile public-private partnership to construct a US$1.54 billion, 60,000-plus-seat stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
• Advised the City of Jacksonville on the non-relocation agreement related to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ stadium.
• Advised on the non-relocation agreement for the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League in connection with development of an 11,000-seat stadium—the first stadium in the United States built primarily for a women’s professional soccer team.
• Counseled a major professional pickleball league on a pre-litigation contract and antitrust matter.

Commercial Litigation Experience

• Prevailed in securing a preliminary and permanent injunction for a major investment firm in an unfair competition lawsuit.
• Achieved favorable settlements for a large manufacturer in contract and intellectual property disputes.
• Obtained multiple dismissals on behalf of a large insurance company in Telephone Consumer Protection Act class actions.
• Obtained a favorable pre-litigation resolution for a national television broadcasting company in an antitrust matter.
