Jonathan Tomlin

JONATHAN TOMLIN has a broad practice covering commercial litigation, international arbitration and contentious regulatory matters.

Jonathan’s experience covers a range of disputes before the High Court of England and Wales, the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, including for breach of contract, M&A litigation and insolvency disputes. He has also acted for clients in relation to investigations by a number of regulators, including the Financial Conduct Authority and the Competition and Markets Authority.

Jonathan has worked with a wide range of clients, including financial institutions and corporates across a number of sectors. He is acting for a pharmaceutical company in high-value, follow-on damages proceedings in the United Kingdom, which has involved appeals to the Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Sidley, Jonathan trained at a Magic Circle firm, qualifying as an associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department in 2018. During his training, he also gained experience in restructuring & insolvency, employment and competition.
