Sidley Represents the Professional Fighters League in US$100 Million Investment by PIF

Sidley represented the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in the sale of a minority ownership stake to SRJ Sports Investments, the sports-focused fund recently launched by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). PFL, which presents MMA in a sports-season format, in which individual fighters compete in a regular season, playoffs and championship, is the initial investment by SRJ.

The Sidley team was led by partner and Entertainment, Sports and Media co-chair Charles (Chuck) Baker and M&A and Private Equity partners Michiel Visser and Tony Downes. The team also included Tax partner Jason Menzies as well as Labor, Employment and Immigration partner Peter McCorkell.
