TIM CHANDLER is a partner in Sidley’s Houston office. Tim’s practice principally involves representing companies, funds and management teams in their investments in “hard hat” industries throughout the world, such as energy (including energy transition, oil & gas, power generation and transmission, and storage), infrastructure (including digital infrastructure, telecommunications and transportation), minerals, manufacturing, and emerging technologies. He assists clients in a range of private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project development and financings. Tim has worked on transactions related to six continents and more than 40 countries, including throughout the United States. Tim is fluent in Portuguese and has lived and worked in Brazil. He can also read and write in Spanish.

Tim is ranked in Chambers USA (2022–2023) and Chambers Global (2022–2023) for Energy: Oil & Gas, where clients note that he is “Incredibly bright and a great negotiator, he's fantastic all around.” He was recently recognized by Oil & Gas Investor as one of the 2019 “Forty under 40” in the Oil and Gas Industry and by Law360 as one of five 2019 “Rising Stars” in Energy.
