NICHOLAS SCHWARTZ is a partner in the New York office and member of the firm’s Global Finance group, focusing primarily on debt financing. Nick has experience across a wide range of sizes, industries and jurisdictions, representing both corporate and private equity borrowers in acquisition and non-acquisition contexts. He has advised on financing transactions ranging in size from US$20 million to over US$15 billion, including syndicated and privately placed financings, recurring revenue-based facilities, financings marketed in the United States for the acquisition of European and Asian targets, concurrent acquisitions and combination of multiple unaffiliated companies, spin-offs and carve-outs, as well as the implementation and subsequent sale of multiple portfolio companies using “portable” capital structures. He also has significant experience in the financing and strategic elements of in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including complex liability management and other capital structure transactions.
Nick has been recognized by several industry publications, including Chambers USA in “Banking & Finance” (2022), The Legal 500 US as a “Next Generation Lawyer” in commercial lending (2017 – 2018), and IFLR1000 (2019 – 2021) as a “Notable Practitioner”.
