Sidley is representing commercial builder, Webcor, in its acquisition of GCON, a Phoenix, AZ-headquartered full-service construction management firm serving the technology, healthcare, aviation, higher education, and public sectors. GCON has a footprint in 23 states, including active mission-critical environments, data centers, and semiconductor projects across 10 states. Webcor will leverage GCON’s expertise in the technology space to expand into new, high-growth markets, while GCON will take advantage of the financial strength of Webcor and its parent company, Obayashi, to pursue larger projects. GCON will continue to operate separately under its existing leadership and brand, with oversight from Webcor. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
