Jake Funk

JAKE FUNK’s practice focuses on financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, corporate governance, and other corporate and securities law matters. 

Jake earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School. While in law school, he worked as a legal intern for a national sports team. He received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Redlands with a dual major in political science and economics.

• Kleiner Perkins as lead investor in the Series A financing of Together AI.
• Simple Closure Inc., a company whose platform helps automate and streamline the dissolution and wind-down process of companies, in its Series Seed Financing.
• Tamnoon, Inc., a developer of a cloud security platform designed to tackle misconfigurations and vulnerabilities detected by Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform tools, in its series seed financing.
• Orion Industrial Ventures, as part of a consortium, in the US$30 million series B financing round of Ceibo
• Variant Equity in the sale of Curb Taxi Media to Firefly, a mobile digital out-of-home company
• Salesforce in its $1.33 billion acquisition of Vlocity, Inc. (signed February 25, 2020)
• McAfee in connection with its purchase of Light Point Security
• Delek US in connection with a potential unsolicited takeover bid by Carl Icahn and CVR Energy
• Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. in its proxy contest defense against Voce Capital
• Harvard Bioscience in its proxy contest defense and activist engagement with Engine Capital, L.P.
