Sidley partners Desmond Ang (Hong Kong/Singapore) and Simon Navarro (New York) served as panelists during the 10th Harvard Law School Annual International Arbitration Conference. Held at Harvard Law School on February 1–3, 2024, the conference featured 10 panels, featuring leading arbitration practitioners from the U.S., South America, Asia, Africa and Europe, as well as in-house counsel and representatives from leading arbitral institutions, such as the ICC, CIETAC, HKIAC and the SIAC.
Desmond spoke at the “Disclosure: Challenges in International Arbitration” panel. Simon spoke at the “International Arbitration: Common Law vs. Civil Law” panel.
Jingzhou Tao, Independent Arbitrator and Member of the Expert Committee for the Chinese International Commercial Court of the Chinese Supreme People’s Court, delivered the opening remarks. Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, delivered the closing remarks.
