Christopher Mills and Barbara Stettner to Speak on Artificial Intelligence at the 2026 Securities Industry Institute

Sidley partners Chris Mills and Barb Stettner will lead a discussion of “Regulatory Considerations for Generative and Agentic AI Use by Broker-Dealers and Investment Advisers” at the 2026 Securities Industry Institute, hosted by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

The presentation will examine the evolving regulatory, compliance, and governance considerations surrounding the use of generative AI and agentic AI by broker-dealers and investment advisers, including dual registrants. As AI tools are increasingly embedded across client communications, investment research, advice delivery, trading, compliance, and operations, regulators expect firms to understand not only the opportunities these technologies present, but also the risks they introduce and how those risks can be appropriately managed.
