Sidley Continues to Grow in Miami, Moving to New 60,000 s/f State-of-the-Art Office at 830 Brickell

November 13, 2025

The three-floor, 60,000 square-foot space marks the firm’s commitment to the South Florida market

Miami — Sidley, a 160-year-old elite US$3.5 billion global law firm with 21 offices across 4 continents, is pleased to announce the opening of its new 60,000 square foot Miami office located in 830 Brickell Plaza, one of the city’s most prominent commercial towers in the heart of South Florida’s Financial District. The new office, spanning three floors, underscores Sidley’s continued investment in South Florida and its long-term commitment to clients in the region.

“Our growing long-term space at 830 Brickell reflects the confidence we have in South Florida as a global business hub, the support of clients, and the talent we have recruited in the last three years." said Yvette Ostolaza, Sidley's Management Committee Chair and a native Miamian. “This office embodies who we are as a firm: innovative, connected, and committed to delivering exceptional results for our global clients, many which are based in South Florida. We are grateful for their support.”

Since entering the Miami market in 2022, Sidley has quickly expanded its team of attorneys and business professionals leading transaction, litigation, regulatory, finance, tax, investigations, real estate, capital markets and sports and entertainment lawyers who advise on national and cross-border transactions, investigations, and high-stakes disputes.

Today, the office has more than 90 attorneys and business professionals serving approximately 700 clients on nearly 1,400 matters spanning many industries, such as private equity, infrastructure, healthcare, sports and entertainment, manufacturing, cyber, corporate, tech, hospitality, insurance, financial institutions, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.

The new workplace is designed to support this growth, offering a sophisticated, technology-forward environment that enhances collaboration and client service. Key features include:

  • South Florida-Inspired Design: Designed by Miami native and award-winning architectural designer, Gigi Alvarez, Founder & CEO at Alvarez Studio, Inc., with V. Bruce Hoeksema serving as a consulting designer to the space.
  • Boardroom and Conference Facilities: A state-of-the-art boardroom equipped with advanced presentation and connectivity technology will serve as a central gathering place for clients and community partners.

Sidley occupies floors 41 through 43 of 830 Brickell, a 57-story, LEED-certified tower.

“Miami represents a significant growth story for Sidley,” said Beatriz Azcuy, co-managing partner of the Miami office and head of the Miami real estate group. “This new office highlights our momentum and allows us to deepen our presence, serve our clients more effectively, and contribute meaningfully to the local community.”

“This signature office marks an exciting milestone in our ongoing investment in Miami and our vision for expansion in the market,” continued Michael Gordon, co-managing partner of the Miami office and Executive Committee member. “It’s designed to support our clients, our people and Sidley’s long-term growth in the region.”

Beyond its representation of some of South Florida’s most significant businesses, Sidley’s lawyers are also actively engaged in the community, serving on boards, committees and as sponsors for local organizations such as the University of Miami, Beacon Council, Orange Bowl Committee, Zoo Miami Foundation, Miami Children’s Museum, Greater Miami Jewish Federation, the Adrienne Arsht Center, Perez Art Museum Miami, and Legal Services of Greater Miami. Sidley's Miami office also participates in hands-on community service through initiatives like Branches, Camillus House, the Dolphins Challenge Cancer, the Florida AIDS Walk, The Caring Place, and other meaningful programs. In June 2024, the firm partnered with KABOOM! to build a new play area at the Miami Children’s Museum, providing children with a safe space to enjoy the physical, social, and mental health benefits of play.

Sidley lawyers also devote significant time to providing pro bono services to underserved communities, handling matters including immigration, housing, and sentencing reform across Florida and the United States. In 2024, the Miami office alone recorded over 3,100 pro bono hours, including securing a seven-level federal sentence reduction in a compassionate leave matter and supporting Adventure for All, a Sarasota-based nonprofit that promotes outdoor learning and adventure opportunities for individuals with disabilities and special education needs.

Sidley’s new Miami office is a key component of the firm’s strategic footprint across major financial and commercial centers, reinforcing its ability to advise clients wherever opportunity arises.
