Sidley Deal Scores “IPO Deal of the Year” Award at the ALB Indonesia Law Awards 2023

The initial public offering (IPO) of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk. has been named the “IPO Deal of the Year” at the Asian Legal Business (ALB) Indonesia Law Awards 2023. The annual awards “pay tribute to the outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house teams in Indonesia and around the region.”

Sidley acted as international counsel to CLSA, DBS Bank, ING, and Jefferies, as international selling agents, and BNI Sekuritas, CLSA Sekuritas, DBS Vickers Sekuritas, and Mandiri Sekuritas, as joint lead managing underwriters, in connection with the Rp10.73 trillion (approximately US$710 million) IPO of equity shares of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk. (AMI).

At the time of listing, this marked Indonesia’s biggest IPO in 2023 and the largest Asian IPO outside of China in 2023.

The deal team was led by Matthew Sheridan and Alexius Chong and included Klara Thamrin and Daniel Ang, with assistance on tax matters by Nicholas Brown, Christian Barraza, and Patrick Gray.
