Sidley’s Thomas Guzman Recognized as a 2026 “Top Lawyer Under 40” by the Hispanic National Bar Association

The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) has named Thomas Guzman, a senior managing associate in Sidley’s Chicago office, to its 2026 “Top Lawyers Under 40” list. The annual award recognizes accomplished HNBA members who have demonstrated professional excellence, leadership, and commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.

Thomas focuses his practice on complex business transactions, including M&A and private equity investments, as well as general corporate governance and securities compliance matters. He regularly represents public and private companies, including private equity funds, in connection with their transactional needs and other corporate matters. Outside the firm, Thomas is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hispanic Lawyers Scholarship Fund of Illinois and formerly a member of the board of directors of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and the advisory board of Chicago Scholars.
