Sidley Advises Bixby Wealth Solutions (a Partnership Between Moontower Group and Carlyle’s Global Credit Business) on Strategic Minority Investment in James Hambro and Partners

Sidley has advised Bixby Wealth Solutions (“Bixby”) – a specialist investor in independent wealth management firms and partnership between Moontower Group and Carlyle’s (NASDAQ: CG) Global Credit Business – on its strategic minority investment in James Hambro and Partners (“JH&P”), a leading independent UK wealth management business which manages approximately £8 billion (c.$10.8bn) of assets on behalf of clients around the world.

As part of this investment, Bixby is acquiring an equity interest from JH&P’s existing shareholders, alongside making a capital investment into JH&P.

The cross-practice Sidley team was led by Private Equity partners Brien Wassner and Jonathon Hamill. They were supported by Aaron Rigby, Ed Perry, Fran Gray, Jagata Swaminathan, and trainee solicitor Theo Sawkins (Private Equity/M&A), and Jason Menzies and Avi Kaye (Tax).
