ABIGAIL BACHRACH focuses her practice on complex commercial and civil litigation, white collar and regulatory enforcement matters, securities and shareholder litigation, corporate governance, and products liability matters, including multi-district litigation. She represents clients in both state and federal trial courts nationwide, advising companies across a broad range of industries, including consumer products, life sciences, chemicals, and financial services. She also represents corporate clients, public accounting firms, and individuals in a wide range of enforcement actions before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
Abigail also represents clients at all stages of the litigation process, including extensive experience in drafting dispositive motions; oversight of fact development and discovery; negotiating and litigating complex discovery disputes; taking and defending depositions; and managing all phases of fact development and discovery, including the use of artificial intelligence in running large-scale document reviews. She also has played key roles in litigation strategy and briefed successful dispositive motions in court. Her experience spans the full litigation lifecycle—from pre-suit investigation through settlement, mediation, trial, and appellate stages. Abigail is also a member of the firm’s PFAS Task Force.
Before joining Sidley, Abigail was a PILI Fellow at the Children and Family Justice Center at the Bluhm Legal Clinic, where she worked to promote juvenile justice. Abigail graduated cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and was senior managing editor of Northwestern University Law Review. Abigail received her B.A. in journalism, magna cum laude, from Yeshiva University.
