
Biography
ZACHARY BRUSEWITZ focuses his practice on asset-backed securitization transactions and the representation of sponsors, borrowers, investment funds, and financial institutions in a variety of other financing scenarios. He was previously in Sidley’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets groups, representing clients in corporate matters, including corporate and securities laws, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Sidley, Zachary was a summer fellow at the Cornell Law School First Amendment Clinic, where he assisted clients with and conducted research on First Amendment issues.
While attending New York University School of Law, Zachary served as the senior web editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law and was a John Sexton Scholar.

- Bonaccord Capital Partners in its passive minority investment in Kingswood Capital Management, LP.
- Denny’s Corporation, the owner and operator of full-service restaurant franchise chains Denny’s and Keke’s Breakfast Café, in its take-private acquisition by a consortium of investors (pending).
- Underwriters’ counsel on Brown & Brown’s US$8.6 billion debt and equity financing in connection with its acquisition of Accession Risk Management.
- The underwriters in connection with multiple transactions by Realty Income Corporation, including its offerings of £700 million of senior notes and US$500 million of senior notes.
