Biography

ALEX CALABRO represents clients in a wide range of energy and commodity transactions, including offtake arrangements, physically and financially settled hedging transactions, and transactions involving the purchase and sale of renewable energy credits, and other environmental attributes.

Alex regularly advises clients on regulatory and transactional issues under the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), as well as on market rules applicable to regional transmission organizations and independent system operators. Alex also has experience advising clients in derivatives regulatory matters governed by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Alex earned her J.D. from Tulane University, and her B.A. from Miami University. Prior to joining Sidley, Alex was an associate at an international law firm.
