LAUREN FREEMAN is an associate in the firm’s San Francisco office and practices in the Litigation group. She focuses on representing clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions before federal and state agencies, including the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. In addition to her work on regulatory enforcement matters, Lauren has extensive experience conducting internal investigations and advising clients on related regulatory and litigation issues. She represents clients across multiple industries, in particular those in the energy, environmental, and consumer products sectors.
Prior to joining Sidley, Lauren served on the Legislative Affairs staff at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
Lauren earned her law degree, cum laude, at Georgetown University Law Center. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
