Biography

KAREN GOLDSTEIN focuses her practice on finance transactions, including acquisition financing, asset-based and leveraged lending, investment-grade lending, mezzanine financing, and subordinated debt financing. Karen primarily represents private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and financial institutions.

Karen was named to The Secured Lender’s 2025 “Women in Secured Finance” list.

Prior to joining Sidley, Karen worked as a finance associate in the New York office of an international law firm.

Representative Matters

Karen’s representations include the following, among other matters:

  • Coupang, Inc., one of the world’s leading global retailers, in the completion of its acquisition of the business and assets of Farfetch Holdings plc, in a rescue deal through an English pre-pack administration process.
  • H.I.G. Growth Partners in the sale of its portfolio company Eruptr LLC to Amulet Capital Partners, LP, a middle-market private equity investment firm focused exclusively on the healthcare sector.
  • Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIE), a California-based global shared intelligent electric mobility ecosystem company, in a comprehensive resolution to its governance dispute with its largest shareholder, FF Top Holding LLC.
