CLAIRE HOMSHER focuses her practice on complex civil litigation in state and federal courts across the United States and in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation counseling, critical motion practice, discovery, and appeals
Claire represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes including, among other matters, breach of contract, intellectual property issues, and insurance litigation, particularly in the healthcare industry.
Prior to joining Sidley, Claire clerked for the Honorable Catharina Haynes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Jane J. Boyle of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Claire earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she served as managing editor of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Before attending law school, Claire earned her M.A. in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin and her B.A. in English literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
