
Biography
SHAMEER RIAZ focuses his practice on investment funds.
Shameer received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as secretary for the Michigan Sports Law Society. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, in accountancy from DePaul University.
While in law school, he worked as an intern for the Alaska Department of Law in Anchorage, as a student-attorney with the Zell Entrepreneurship Clinic, and as an intern for Valiant — a name, image, and likeness (NIL) collective.

- Ariel Investments in connection with Project Level, which raised US$250 million in committed capital a year after the platform’s launch, creating one of the largest dedicated pools of institutional capital focused on opportunities across women’s sports, including teams, leagues, and sports-adjacent businesses.
