Biography

EVA ROMERO-SUTHERLAND focuses her practice on energy and infrastructure matters.

Eva received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was awarded the Achievement Fellowship, a full-tuition scholarship. During law school, Eva served as a teaching assistant and legal research and writing advisor for first-year law students, as well as participated in UCLA’s Immigrant Family Legal Clinic and Tribal Legal Development Clinic. She also earned multiple “Masin Family Academic Excellence Gold Awards,” which is an award given to the highest performing student in a competitive law school course.

Prior to law school, Eva was a Teach For America corps member and worked as a public school educator in Houston for nearly a decade.

Representative Matters

  • Client in connection with a new revolving credit facility secured by oil and gas assets.
  • Macquarie Asset Management in its acquisition of Potters Industries, LLC, a recognized leader in engineered glass beads and microspheres used in road infrastructure, traffic safety markings, and specialized industrial applications, from TJC, L.P., a private investment firm.
  • Viridi Energy, LLC in its multi-project construction-to-term and bridge loan facility supporting development, construction, tax credit monetization, and operation of renewable natural gas (RNG) projects.
