MICHAEL SCHLINKERT is an associate in Sidley’s office in Houston. He has experience in a broad range of financial transactions representing both borrowers and capital providers, including reserve-based lending, asset-based lending, cash flow lending, debtor-in-possession and emergence facilities, secured notes offerings, acquisition financings, mezzanine debt transactions, margin loans, debt restructuring transactions and syndicated financings, among others. Michael also counsels public and other large companies on matters relating to a variety of issues, including liability management options, collateral and compliance concerns, and commercial transactions.
Michael earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he served as an articles editor for the SMU Law Review and a program director for the Academic Success Program. He also studied international and comparative law at University College at the University of Oxford. Michael received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
