
Biography
MELISSA SCHNEIDER focuses her practice on complex corporate transactions. She represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Sidley, Melissa earned her law degree from the USC Gould School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Arizona.
While attending law school, Melissa served as executive senior editor of the Southern California Law Review. Additionally, Melissa was a clinical law student in the USC Law Small Business Clinic, where she advised startup companies, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits on entity formation and other corporate legal matters.

- Rael, a leading women’s wellness brand offering feminine care, skincare, and hormonal wellness products, in its strategic investment from TowerBrook Capital Partners.
- Ariel Investments in connection with Project Level, which raised US$250 million in committed capital a year after the platform’s launch, creating one of the largest dedicated pools of institutional capital focused on opportunities across women’s sports, including teams, leagues, and sports-adjacent businesses.
