ALESSANDRA MORONI advises private entities, trade associations and governments on a wide range of international trade law matters with a particular focus on trade remedies, economic sanctions, export controls, and other regulatory and compliance matters under European Union law and World Trade Organization law.
Most recently, Alessandra has been advising clients on various aspects of the legal and policy implications of Brexit.
Prior to joining Sidley, Alessandra worked at international law firms in Milan, Hong Kong and Beijing, advising clients on international business transactions and regulatory compliance. She also gained academic experience as a teaching assistant at Università Commerciale L. Bocconi (Milan) and as an editor of various law journals, including the Cambridge Law Review.
She holds an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge and has previously studied in Italy and Spain.
She is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish and has basic knowledge of French.
