Sidley Represents Underwriters in Year’s Largest REIT Common Equity Offering

Sidley represented BofA Securities, Inc. and Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in connection with Welltower Inc.’s US$1.72 billion common equity block trade completed in November 2023, the largest REIT common equity offering year-to-date in 2023.

Welltower Inc. is a REIT that invests with leading seniors housing operators, post-acute providers, and health systems to fund the real estate and infrastructure needed to scale innovative care delivery models and improve people’s wellness and overall healthcare experience. 

The firm’s relationship with Welltower is led by David Zampa. The Sidley team was led by Ed Petrosky and Bart Sheehan, and included Patricia Wood, Alan Williams, and Miles Curry, with tax assistance from Nick Brown and Andrew Smith.
