
Biography
NICOLE BAADE has experience in drafting appellate briefs, writs, complaints, and dispositive motions in state and federal court, including the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the California Court of Appeal, and multiple California superior courts. She has worked on a merits brief as well as multiple petitions for certiorari at the United States Supreme Court and has argued before the California Court of Appeal.
Prior to joining Sidley, Nicole served as a clerk for the Honorable Daniel P. Collins of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. During law school, Nicole served as the editor-in-chief for the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy and spent a semester working for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts drafting an appellate brief and a motion. She also worked for the New England Legal Foundation researching cases for potential amicus briefs on the Takings Clause, the Class Action Fairness Act, and products liability.
