ROWENA MCCAUGHAN advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and corporate borrowers across a broad range of leveraged finance transactions and corporate financing matters, with a particular focus on complex cross-border acquisition financings and refinancings.

Rowena has previously been seconded to the global legal investments team at a leading American private equity sponsor.

Recent examples of Rowena’s work include advising:

• Apollo-managed funds and affiliates in connection with the launch of TenFifty Capital, a new European-focused commercial real estate lending platform.
• STORY3 Capital Partners, the Los Angeles based private equity firm, on its significant minority investment in Adanola, a leading UK-based athleisure and activewear brand.
• Astorg Partners, in relation to its investment in IPCOM, a pan-European distributor of technical and building insulation products.
• EQT and portfolio company Dellner, in relation to the senior financing for Dellner.
• Nordic Capital, in relation to its investment in Nordax Group, a niche bank in Northern Europe, including on Nordax Group’s acquisition of Bank Norwegian.
• Autocirc AB, on the refinancing of its capital structure.
• Onex, in relation to financing matters for portfolio company Parkdean Resorts.
• Permira, in relation to its investment in Adevinta (as part of a consortium with Blackstone and others), the world’s largest online classified advertising business.
• Permira, in relation to financing matters for portfolio company the Corin Group, a leading company in the orthopedics space.
• A global private equity firm on the financing for its acquisition of one of the world’s largest bulk rum producers.
