Avi Kaye

AVI KAYE has a broad range of transactional and advisory experience. She regularly advises financial institutions, private equity groups, sponsors, and public and private companies on a wide range of domestic and cross-border direct and indirect tax matters, focusing particularly on cross-border tax structuring and transactions including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, divestments, and financing.

As in the previous edition (2024), Avi is recommended for Corporate Tax by Legal 500 UK 2025.

Prior to joining Sidley in 2021, Avi was an associate in the tax practice of another international law firm.

Recent examples of Avi’s experience include representing:

• Apollo Funds in their strategic minority equity investment in Charles Monat Associates.
• Apollo-managed funds in their acquisition of a majority stake in Kelvion, a leading global provider of energy-efficient heat exchange and cooling solutions, from funds advised by Triton Partners.
• STORY3 Capital Partners, the Los Angeles based private equity firm, on its significant minority investment in Adanola, a leading UK-based athleisure and activewear brand.
• H.I.G. Capital and PolarDC Group Limited on the structuring and first-phase financing of a multi-phase project to deliver a leading data centre designed for High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications in Norway.
• London-based private investment firm RoundShield Partners LLP on the successful raising of its fifth European special opportunities fund.
• Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. in the Sale of Summit Leasing, a leasing company in Slovenia and Croatia.
• Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. in the acquisition of The Travel Corporation.
• Lottomatica Group S.p.A (formerly known as Gamenet Group S.p.A.), a portfolio company of funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc., in its €639 million acquisition of SKS365.
• Newfold Digital in its acquisition of MarkMonitor™, an enterprise-level provider of domain management solutions, from Clarivate.
