Sidley Represents Co-Lead Investor Gabe Plotkin and Consortium Member Eric Church in US$3 Billion Majority Stake Purchase of the Charlotte Hornets

Sidley represented co-lead investor Gabe Plotkin, as well as Eric Church, in the consortium purchasing the controlling stake of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets from Michael Jordan. The transaction is valued at approximately US$3 billion. Gabe Plotkin is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Tailwoods Capital LLC. Eric Church is a country music recording artist with multiple number one hits. Michael Jordan is a former professional basketball player and member of the Hall of Fame.
