C.J. BURTON has experience representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as a variety of other public and private companies, venture capital firms, growth equity firms, and individual investors, in a broad range of complex transactions and corporate governance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, private and public financings, leveraged buyouts, and other related corporate transactions. He counsels clients in technology, life sciences, and other growth industries.
C.J. earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and served as a legal intern for an investment management firm and major broadcasting company where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the technology and entertainment industries, respectively. He received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
