
Biography
ALEX DOWN’s experience covers a wide range of employment and corporate immigration matters, including both contentious and non-contentious work. He particularly advises on senior executive-level recruitment, team moves, matters relating to transfer of undertakings, sponsorship matters, and immigration compliance.
Prior to joining Sidley in 2021, Alex has worked for a law firm specializing in employment and corporate immigration work. He also worked in the London office of another international law firm, where he focused on employment, pensions, and employee benefits matters.

- Advising STORY3 Capital Partners, the Los Angeles based private equity firm, on the employment aspects of its significant minority investment in Adanola, a leading UK-based athleisure and activewear brand.
- Evri, a portfolio company of funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc., on the employment aspects of its merger with DHL eCommerce, the e-commerce logistics specialist of DHL Group.
