
Biography
ANDREA TAN focuses her practice on cross-border investigations relating to anti-bribery, fraud, sanctions, data privacy, employment, and other misconduct. She has particular experience supporting multinational companies in high-stakes regulatory inquiries, internal reviews and remediation efforts, and also advises clients on crisis management, governance, and compliance matters. Her practice covers a range of sectors, including financial services, energy, healthcare, and technology.
Andrea graduated with First-Class Honors from King’s College in London and was appointed a Young Amicus Curiae by the Supreme Court of Singapore, to assist in cases involving novel or important questions of law. She is the recipient of a scholarship from the Singapore Academy of Law and completed a litigation-focused secondment at a leading barrister’s chambers in London.
Andrea is fluent in English and speaks conversational Mandarin.

- Advised a Singapore-listed telecommunications company on internal investigations and risk mitigation relating to non-compliance with Singapore export regulations.
- Advised a global professional services firm relating to alleged improper disclosure and use of government information as part of a cross-border regulatory investigation.
- Advised an energy and commodity trading company on compliance controls relating to sanctions.
- Advised an insurance company on risk mitigation and remediation relating to non-compliance with Singapore employment regulations relating to the statutory pension scheme.

- Advised a multi-national beverage company in relation to investigations into employee misconduct and disciplinary action in connection with suspected sales-related fraud.
- Advised a pharmaceutical company on employee non-complete obligations and termination issues.
- Advised a listed technology and media company on employee-related workplace health and safety issues.
Commercial Litigation
- Acted for a Swiss private bank in claims relating to alleged mis-selling, improper margin calls, and negligence.
- Acted for a global airport service provider in a contractual dispute concerning the sale and purchase of a passenger management SaaS business.
- Acted for a listed hospitality management group in a cross-border joint venture dispute concerning hotel operations in Thailand.
- Acted for the former independent directors of a real-estate investment trust in investigations and claims relating to alleged breaches of disclosure obligations under Singapore securities law.
