Sidley Advises Aspida Re in Second APAC Reinsurance Transaction

Sidley represented Aspida Life Re Ltd., a Bermuda-based life and annuity reinsurance company, in its execution of its second reinsurance transaction in Japan, effective June 1, 2025. The transaction was completed with a highly rated Japanese life insurance carrier and is a significant step for Aspida Re as it continues to expand its global footprint and deliver innovative reinsurance solutions to life and annuity insurance partners worldwide. Ares Insurance Solutions, which acts as the dedicated investment manager, capital solutions, and corporate development partner to Aspida Re, supported the origination and execution of this transaction.
