Sidley Represents Circle Internet Group in Its Agreement to Acquire Tazapay
Sidley is representing Circle Internet Group, Inc. (NYSE: CRCL), a global financial technology firm and issuer of USDC, in its agreement to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-headquartered B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company focused on serving payment service providers and financial institutions.
The proposed acquisition will expand Circle’s global payments infrastructure by adding Tazapay’s banking and fintech relationships, local payout rails covering more than 100 markets, and institutional customer base. The transaction is expected to close in 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
