
Biography
DR. BJÖRN HOLLAND is the managing partner of Sidley’s office in Munich. He advises on all aspects of German business and corporate law, in particular national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, and restructurings. His clients include financial sponsors and strategic investors across a variety of industries, including automotive, healthcare, e-commerce, financial services, and the renewable energy sector.
As in previous editions (2021 — 2024), Björn is currently ranked “Best Lawyer” by Handelsblatt Best Lawyers 2025 for Private Equity Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Corporate Law. In the 2024/2025 edition of the JUVE Handbook, Björn is recognized as “Often Recommended” for Private Equity, with competitors saying he is “creative and fair.” Sources from the 2023/2024 edition describe him as “extremely experienced with excellent market overview.”
Prior to joining Sidley in 2017, Björn was a partner in the corporate practice of another international law firm.

- Preservation Capital Partners in the sale of its majority stake in HBC to Bridgepoint.
- Stellex Capital Management LLC on the acquisition of the environmental technology business from Dürr Group.
- Bradford Airport Logistics LLC on the establishment of an equity joint venture with Flughafen Wien AG.
