RACHELLE SODERSTROM is a partner in the firm’s San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Technology and Life Sciences Transactions practice. Rachelle counsels clients on a range of technology and IP matters, primarily in the context of mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing, licensing, development, marketing, distribution and manufacturing transactions. She works with companies in a broad range of industries, including the technology, pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and finance.
Prior to joining Sidley, Rachelle was an associate at an international law firm, where she represented clients in university licensing, securities offerings, SEC reporting, general corporate governance matters and strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
Rachelle received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where she was awarded the Jeffrey S. Turner Outstanding Commercial Law Student Award. While in law school, Rachelle served as Managing Editor of the Women’s Law Journal and as an extern for the Honorable Bernard Zimmerman for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Prior to law school, Rachelle worked as an analyst for an international asset management firm. She received her B.A. in Art History from Vanderbilt University.
