Biography

TREVOR WEAR is a nationally recognized thought leader and trusted advisor in health law. He focuses his practice primarily on healthcare regulatory, compliance, transaction, and enforcement matters involving false claims, anti-kickback, and self-referral laws; coverage and reimbursement; pricing and price reporting for pharmaceuticals; product launch and market access strategies for pharmaceuticals and medical devices; and healthcare and managed care contracting. Trevor advises a variety of clients on these matters, including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, clinical laboratories, healthcare technology and digital health companies, durable medical equipment suppliers, healthcare providers, and private equity investors.

Leveraging over 20 years of experience in healthcare administration and law, Trevor’s practice covers much of the healthcare industry, although he devotes much of his time to partnering with life sciences companies to solve their most critical product launch, market access, strategic growth, and compliance challenges both in the United States and abroad. Trevor works closely with pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure cost-efficient compliance with the various federal and state price reporting programs, to resolve their issues with the regulators administering these programs, and to defend their practices in civil actions brought by the government and whistleblowers. He regularly counsels life sciences companies on the development and implementation of compliance programs, including drafting and updating policies and procedures and conducting internal audits and investigations.

Trevor is ranked by Chambers USA for Healthcare: Pharmaceuticals/Medical Products Regulatory in Illinois (2023–2025).

In a joint four-year program, Trevor received his J.D., cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law, where he was the editor-in-chief for the Journal of Health Law, and his M.H.A., highest distinction, from Saint Louis University School of Public Health in 2005. He received his B.S., summa cum laude, in health information management from Saint Louis University in 2001.
